The ambush

Varek kills three men, a fourth blade catches him from his blind side, his second dies four tiles away, and the room watches him bleed until he gets up. The first scene built on the engine's own scripted kill, six-frame sound offset and all.

A man wants to join. Varek asks what his skills are. He says he is honest. The first scene in this project to run actions in parallel with the dialogue: Myron keeps counting money straight through the joke.

Held, and worth explaining: one character's dialogue portrait rendered as a solid black silhouette. Three rebuilds later the cause turned out to be the palette byte, not the job. A fixed version is queued to shoot.
